Our Story - how it all began ...

Our Auntie Dana & Uncle Skip from California sent us a lip balm & soap making kit for Christmas. We enjoyed making it so much with our Dad that we told him we wanted to start a business.

Well, he said, “Okay, but to start a business you need to know how much it cost to make your product to determine how much to sell it for.” So he sat us down to come up with our costs, and from there he taught us how to write a business plan. He helped us research our name, and we discovered that there was no other company named, Lips Unlimited.

Lips Unlimited was created on December 29, 2003 in the downstairs den in our home in Birmingham, Alabama. From there we had our grand opening on New Years Eve.

Our mom helped us get things going for our first sales day. We designed our labels and created order forms and names for all of our lip balms. We had a great first day of sales and rang in the new year with big goals!

We have now launched the official Lips Unlimited web site!
